Yelp Defies Gravity — Gravity, Columbus, OH

Among many other vendors and artists, I had the unique opportunity to display my masters thesis project, Where I Live, at Gravity in Columbus, OH. The exhibition room at Gravity presented different challenges than those I faced when installing the enormous painting at Beeler Gallery a few months prior. The room, with two garage doors on either side, a slanted floor, exposed piping on the ceiling, virtually no 90-degree angles, and various other obstacles, it was time to invoke the versatility and flexibility of this painting. With the help of Kristen Brown, Josh Boone, and Meghan Boone from Cova Cowork, as well as Angel CaraDonna from Gravity, the display of Where I Live was bent and transformed in an unconventionally shaped space. It was incredibly exciting to see this work from a new perspective, curved around the viewer and lowered in height. I was so grateful to have the chance to show this work again in such an interesting way.
